Method 1: Delete Unknown User Accounts

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Select System and Security.
  3. Select System in System and Security window.
  4. Click Advanced system settings option in the left sidebar.
  5. Find the User Profiles area and click on the Settings… button under it.
  6. You will see a list of the profiles; browse them and select the one that doesn't contain a recognizable user name.

  1. Go to the desktop.
  2. Create a new folder and change the name to Migration Temp.
  3. Open File Explorer to search for .mig files.
  4. Copy all the MIG files.

  6. Try the Windows Easy Transfer tool again to see whether the problem has been solved.
